This is one of the largest university climbing gyms in the country. There is a good variety of routes for training any aspect of climbing. 7,200 sf climbable surface, 4 leadable, 25 top rope.

To some the name of a climbing gym should evoke images of cliffs and mountains, but we felt drawn in another direction. When naming The Commons, we wanted to highlight the most important part of our gym- the community of climbers and people who grace our establishment. Our community is the reason we are here, and it represents some of the finest folks you will find; that is why we chose a name that literally means, ”land or resources belonging to or affecting the whole of a community.”
