Our new facility is the first of its kind in Dunedin and is designed to support the growing climbing community in Otago. Whatever your level of strength or fitness, you’ll find a challenge that’s right for you. Designed to mimic the challenges of outdoor rock climbing, our indoor bouldering gym – perfect for Dunedin’s temperamental weather – involves the use of artificial climbing walls with moveable holds offering an array of physical challenges. For some, it offers accessible all-year-round prep for outdoor climbs. For others, it’s the perfect work out all by itself. And remember, all our climbs are graded, so there’s always something for beginners – but you’ll be surprised how quickly you can progress.

Over 40 routes for climbers at any level. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and Instructors to help with climbing skills and technique. 13m high wall with lead and top rope areas. Small training area with hang board and campus board. Kids climbing classes offered throughout school terms. Affordable price and easy access.

From their homepage: "With more than 100 climbing routes ranging in height from 6-8 metres, and climbs from absolute beginner to experienced pro, there is something for everyone. For serious sports climbers we have 36 top-ropes enabling access to a huge range of challenging climbing walls. We also have an impressive 14.5m of overhanging wall reserved for lead climbing, plus two dedicated bouldering areas."

406 sq meters outside, and 427 sq meters of indoor climbing wall area which includes a 6m high overhang. Has 50 sq meters of roof climbing, 5m high bouldering and 180 degree overhang arch. Sport Climbing Wall with top rope and lead climbing, a bouldering room and Clip ’N Climb arena.

Small (only about 6-7 metres high), but it has many very nice lead climb routes, and a very good boulder cave!

Designed, built and run by a team of Kiwi climbers and yoga teachers, Uprising is home to a huge bouldering gym, yoga studio and a fitness gym all under one roof. There’s even a café serving their own signature blend of locally roasted coffee, and a pro shop for apparel and gear

400 sq meters of indoor climbing area, which includes an overhang (50 sq meters of roof climbing) the Sport Climbing Wall with top rope and lead climbing, also has other features such as arret's and overlaps, a bouldering room is great to do a quick warm up. There is Clip ’n Climb arena (bookings required for this) .
